The Controller may refuse to recognise a person as an agent in respect of any proceedings if,

He does not stay in India or does not have his place of business in India.

His name is removed from register and not restored;

He is convicted of an offence under section 123;

He is not a registered patent agent and is just a person acting as an agent for applying patents in India representing and appointed by another person;

Any company or firm, if the person is acting as a director or manager of the Company or is a partner of that firm.
