As per the agreement between Indian Patent Office and the International Bureau; the Delhi Patent Office shall perform the duties of International Preliminary Examining Authority.

The Examining Authority shall establish International Preliminary Examination Report,

 of all international applications electing India.

 on all demands filed by nationals or residents of other countries under the Treaty as per the agreement made and being notified by the International Bureau

in respect of demands made by nationals or residents of other countries not a party to the Treaty, if the Assembly so approves
