The receiving office, the designated office and the elected office for all international applications shall be the appropriate office as per rule 4. (Appropriate Office)
Delhi Branch of the Patent office shall be the appropriate office for dealing with the International Bureau and any other International Searching or Preliminary Examination Authority.
An International Application shall be filed at and processed by the appropriate office according to the procedures and regulations under this Treaty.
After receiving an international application, the appropriate office shall;
Keep a copy of the application in the office, called the “Home Copy”;
Transmit one copy to the International Bureau, called the “Record Copy” and
Transmit one copy to the competent International Searching Authority, called the “Search Copy”.
simultaneously all details of such applications shall be furnished to the Patent Office, Delhi branch.
